Medical Mutual Presents 5 Star Seniors Celebration

Senior Appreciation Week runs May 16-20 with free admission to Cleveland attractions

CLEVELAND, May 03, 2022–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Medical Mutual, in partnership with WKYC-3 Studios, invites seniors to get out and have fun during a year of celebration, welcoming those 60 and older to some of Cleveland’s biggest attractions and celebrating the contributions of seniors in northeast Ohio.

“Medical Mutual has a long history of celebrating the incredible contributions seniors make to our communities,” said Christine Taylor, Director of Community Affairs for Medical Mutual. “Our Outstanding Senior Volunteer Awards have honored hundreds of seniors over the years, but with the many challenges seniors have faced during the COVID-19 pandemic, including social isolation and loneliness, we felt we needed to do more. The 5-Star Senior Celebration allows us to do just that, while expressing our gratitude for all they do.”

Outstanding Senior Volunteer Award

The 5-star celebration will end with the return of Medical Mutual’s top senior volunteer awards, who return after a pandemic hiatus.

For three decades, these awards have recognized the community involvement and charitable work of local seniors. This recognition is even more important this year as we celebrate those who have continued to put others before themselves even during the difficult times of the pandemic.

Nominations for the Outstanding Senior Volunteer Awards are open and accepted online through June 17. The Cleveland-area winners will be celebrated at a ceremony and luncheon on October 20.
