Details
First designed in 1971 for French president Georges Pompidou’s private residence at the Elysée Palace, Pierre Paulin’s Pumpkin Chair has been reissued by Ligne Roset. It’s upholstered nearly entirely by hand in fabrics exclusive to DWR, with channel tufting that adds definition to its softly sculptural silhouette on a versatile swivel base. Produced by Ligne Roset in France.

Pierre Paulin
Modernist French designer Pierre Paulin was a pioneer in low-level living. While his oeuvre spans decades of modern materials, techniques, and industrial projects, he’s best known for introducing a new approach to sitting — one that bid adieu to chair legs and embraced low-slung profiles for easy, laid-back lounging. Paulin’s iconic designs figure in museums and collections around the world.
